Refurbished - Masimo Radical Pulse Oximeter

Product Description

Radical is the most advanced, yet flexible pulse oximeter in the world. In addition to being the most feature-packed, stand-alone pulse oximeter available, Radical can operate in two additional modes. The front module of Radical can be removed, creating a fully featured handheld pulse oximeter, ideal for transport. Radical can also be used to upgrade existing equipment through the sensor connector, thus not requiring additional hardware or software upgrades to improve the performance of your current multiparameter monitor to Masimo SET.

Features:

  • Masimo SET is the proven gold standard in reading through motion & low perfusion to reduce false alarms and detect true events
  • The Radical is a fully featured Standalone pulse oximeter
  • The Radical is a fully featured Handheld pulse oximeter
  • The Radical interfaces to validated multiparameter patient monitors to replace the existing conventional pulse oximetry with Masimo SET pulse oximetry.
  • Unprecedented specificity and sensitivity. Essentially eliminates false alarms and detects virtually all true alarms.
  • Accurate during most patient movement, including shivering, combativeness, neonatal movement, and seizures.
  • Accurate during low perfusion.
  • Accurate during intense ambient light and resists electrocautery interference.
Benefits:
Radical as a Standalone Pulse Oximeter:

Radical is lightweight, compact and easy to use. The high contrast LCD display is easy to read and automatically adjusts to the monitoring position with rotational Radical Screen. The Radical comes standard with a 5-hr rechargeable battery, 30 day trending and an optional 12-hr battery. The Radical includes a full compliment of outputs including analog, serial (ProFox, VueLink and Universal Flexport), nurse call and SatShare™.  With Radicals rugged design you can provide continuous and reliable arterial oxygen saturation monitoring anywhere throughout the continuum of care: in the ER, OR, ICU and recovery room, in any specialty clinic, the general floor, transport and home.

Radical as a Handheld Pulse Oximeter:

The Handheld pulse oximeter easily detaches from the Standalone unit as a full-featured handheld pulse oximeter. The onboard rechargeable 5-hour battery and 30 day trending facilitates both hospital transport and spot check applications. The Radical Handheld oximeter can detach and travel with the patient during hospital transport. The Radical Handheld can then attach to any Radical Docking Station at the patients destination to provide continuous, seamless Masimo SET performance.

Switch between waveform or pulse bar dispay:

Radical display SpO2 pulse rate, pleth perfusion index and Signal IQ waveform (top), or shows the SpO2 and pulse rate as large numbers with pulse indicator (bottom).

Automatic Display Rotation (Gravity Activated):

Provides for vertical or horizontal monitor positioning, to maximize space utilization and visibility. (not available on the RDS-2 model)

SIGNAL IQ™:

Signal IQ, represented as a succession of vertical bars, indicates signal quality. As the waveform is corrupted due to interference, the height of the Signal IQ bar indicates the reliability of the measured values.

Perfusion Index:

Perfusion Index indicates the arterial pulse signal strength.

Selectable Sensitivity:

Three sensitivity modes for every patient situation:

APOD™ - Adaptive Probe Off Detection technology offers improved capability for detecting probe off conditions. Ideal for long-term care situations or conditions of remote monitoring.

NORMAL - Intended for most clinical situations when a patient needs monitoring under general care guidelines.

MAX™ - Superb SpO2 performance during resuscitation or other situations involving extremely low perfusion.
