UTMED formed from Petersen Medical and Alpine Home Medical Equipment

Petersen Medical today announced that Tom Bradley has been nominated president of the recently formed state association UTMED . UTMED was created by Petersen Medical and Alpine Home Medical Equipment in late September to advocate the needs of patients and advance the home medical equipment (HME) industry.

"According to a recent study done by the American Association for Homecare, more than 1,500 wheelchair suppliers will go out of business because of the new Medicare and Medicaid power mobility rule changes," said Jay Broadbent, owner of Alpine Home Medical and vice president of UTMED. "These policies will limit patient choice and increase out-of-pocket costs they can't afford on their fixed incomes."

"By forming UTMED, HME dealers in Utah will have a united front and will be a positive force for change in the industry and for the people we serve," said Bradley. "There are over one million Americans who suffer from respiratory illnesses that require oxygen therapy under Medicare, and with the new legislation many of those individuals will have inadequate care. UTMED is dedicated to influencing that legislation and implementing policies that will benefit those in serious need."

2007 Medical equipment catalog ready for viewing online

DRE does it again as first in industry to offer 2007 medical equipment catalog online.

As one of the first medical equipment companies to offer a full online medical catalog to its customers back in 1996, DRE Medical is no stranger to being first when it comes to helping its customers find the medical equipment products they need.

The Louisville-based company built an online presence in 1996 with its customers' needs in mind and has stocked the web site with thousands of brand name medical equipment products from companies such as Drager, Medtronic, Penlon, Skytron, Bovie, Midmark, and Welch Allyn to name a few. It has used the site to serve thousands of customers worldwide, reaching places normal methods of advertising cannot compete with, helping it become one of the largest and most reliable worldwide suppliers of new and pre-owned medical equipment to date.

Building on the success of their website, DRE has released their 2007 medical equipment catalog to the public in both print and PDF format for online viewing, making them the first in their industry to release a catalog for the new year. This catalog features quality new medical equipment for a vast range of medical uses such as anesthesia machines, patient monitors, defibrillators, electrosurgical units, ventilators, exam lights, surgical tables, blanket warmers, autoclaves, and more. While the PDF and print catalog covers new equipment, customers looking for refurbished medical equipment can find those items on DRE's main website located at http://www.dremed.com/.

The PDF format is available on DRE's website located at http://www.dremed.com/, while the print version can be obtained by calling DRE directly at 1-800-462-8195.
