GE Healthcare recently announced that, beginning December 31, 2009, the company will discontinue support for its Ohmeda Excel, Excel SE, and Modulus SE anesthesia machines. Once this discontinuation takes effect, medical facilities that utilize these machines may not be able to address future technical and service issues.

The following Ohmeda brand equipment will be affected by this discontinuation:

• Ohmeda Excel
• Ohmeda Excel SE
• Ohmeda Modulus SE
• Ohmeda 7000 Ventilator
• Ohmeda 7800 Ventilator
• Ohmeda 7900 Ventilator
• GMS Absorber

DRE is also extending this offer to owners of Drager anesthesia systems. Trade-in value will be based on the model and condition of the machine that is traded in.

DRE, Inc. recently began distributing the Universal ECG^™, a lightweight, cost-saving PC-based ECG device.

The FDA-approved Universal ECG portable PC-based ECG is the most compact and precise PC-based ECG on the market. It connects directly to most desktop PCs, laptops and Pocket PCs running Microsoft^® Windows^® XP or 2000 and performs resting ECG anytime, anywhere. EKG results are displayed on the computer screen for rapid assessment.

DRE distributes the Universal ECG at a price that is less expensive than most standalone EKG machines.
