STERIS Donates Medical Equipment to Surgical Training Lab

STERIS Corporation, manufacturer of the popular AMSCO surgical tables and lights, including the well-known AMSCO Polaris surgical lights, has donated surgical equipment worth $600,000 to the College of Medicine Chattanooga’s surgical training lab based at the University of Tennessee.

The University’s training lab is fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, and provides physicians, medical students, and residents with hands-on skills training on the latest techniques and surgical practices.

The equipment donated by STERIS includes operating room tables, examination tables, surgical lights, and surgical scrub sinks.

"UTCOM Chattanooga and Erlanger's commitment to the future of medical education in the Chattanooga region reaches farther than most people here in Chattanooga could imagine," stated Anita Oaks Headrick, with STERIS Corporation. "STERIS Corporation is honored to be a part of this investment."
