Hospital Equipment Refurbishing Process

Respiratory Ventilators

Refurbishing Steps:
  • Grounding resistance check is conducted.
  • Current leakage is tested and repairs are conducted, if necessary.
  • Housing is inspected and cleaned or replaced.
  • AC plug and receptacles are replaced, if necessary.
  • Cords are inspected and replaced, if necessary.
  • The mount and fasteners are inspected and replaced, if necessary.
  • Electrodes and transducers are inspected and replaced, if necessary.
  • The display panels are inspected and cleaned, or replaced.
  • Controls and switches are inspected and replaced, if necessary.
  • All alarms and audible signals are tested to ensure all are in working order.
  • Run performance maintenance tests and make necessary repairs and/or adjustments, including replacing all parts prone to future failure.
  • Stand is inspected and repaired, if necessary. This may include but mayl not be limited to repairing or replacing wheels and brakes.
  • Preventative maintenance is conducted, if necessary. This may include but may not be limited to inspecting and replacing internal tubing and hoses.
  • The unit is recalibrated and adjusted.
  • 02 cell is inspected and replaced, if necessary.
  • The unit receives a new label.
