In 1996 Steris Corporation aquired AMSCO to solidify it's line of operating room and surgical tables, surgical lights, examination lights, and sterilization equipment. Steris kept the AMSCO brand alive on it's lines of tables and sterilization equipment for years to come.
Eventually the AMSCO brand was transitioned primarily to Steris's sterilizer lines.
